Solaroofing proudly announces the completion of a turnkey roofing and solar project at Printpac’s facility. Printpac Middle East Incorporated FZ-LLC, a leader in the UAE’s printing and packaging industry since 1975, now enjoys a watertight roof and significant savings on its monthly electricity expenses. Roof Waterproofing: Reinforced Longevity
The project began with a detailed inspection & treatment of Printpac’s metal roofing sheets. Solaroofing’s team applied TOPPS® Products Inc. rubberized elastomeric sealants, expertly formulated for lasting protection in the UAE’s demanding climate, on the roof’s critical areas. Joints, seams, sidelaps, fasteners, skylights, and roof gutters all received meticulous attention to ensure leak prevention. This layer guarantees a resilient, watertight roof, fully prepared to support Photovoltaic (PV) system components to be installed on the roof sheets.
Solar Power That Delivers
Following the waterproofing stage, Solaroofing installed a robust 510.51 kWp grid-connected solar PV system, operating under DEWA’s Shams Dubai Net Metering program. As DEWA-registered solar experts and DDA-approved contractors, Solaroofing handled the entire permitting & approvals processes. The solar PV system now generates approximately 800 MWh annually, enough to offset a substantial portion of Printpac’s energy usage and secure savings of approximately AED 400,000 per year. Through net metering, excess clean power is fed back into the grid, resulting in both economic and environmental benefits.

Advanced Monitoring & Safety Strategies
To deliver seamless management and upkeep, the PV system employs a comprehensive monitoring platform featuring real-time and historical data visualization, detailed performance metrics and analytics, and automatic alerts for anomalies. Additionally, certified roof safety lifelines were installed on the roof, enabling safe and easy maintenance access for site personnel.
